Compound bows on ebay.......

Featured Replies

Well, I am looking for a new bow. I found the bow I want on ebay, but it is so cheap. I know they can rip you off and such, but it seams so good, what's the catch? I want to know you guys' opinions about buying off ebay.

I wouldnt personally. If you buy it over ebay more than likely it will void your warrenty. I had a friend buy a bow from ebay and he took it into the shop to get it tuned but it never tuned something was wrong with the cams and he had to buy new cams the good deal turned out to be a pain. What bow you lookin at just curious?

Me personally I would not buy a bow off of E bay. There are just to many variables that you can't get when you buy a bow from there. Just to name a few for instance do you know your draw length and is the bow your buying have your same draw length. Can ebay help you tune it and paper tune it so that your shooting bullit holes on paper. Can ebay match your bow to the proper arrows. Has the bow been dry fired and the seller wants to get rid of it to buy another bow. I agree with the doucet on this one myself. And yes I would be curious to know what bow your looking at too.

I was out shopping today for a new mathews drenalin LD. I held one today and I will have it soon. It was sweet and smooth. Check out the Mathews web site if you like http://mathewsinc.com/ ;)

I think yall are both WRONG!!!! i have had a mathews SWITCHBACK XT an it was the  WORST bow i have ever bought an as far as the HOYTS go i have herd the CAMS are not very dependable on them so this fall i bought a new DIAMOND black ice bow an it is the quitest, lighest, an smoothest shooting bow i have everpicked up 8-).

Untill the cams get screwed up on ya...... Your goign to have to tune that thing every year. I dont know who you talked to about the hoyt cams but they were not to well informed. Hoyt cams are indestructible!!!  As far as DIAMOND bows they feel like an earthquake going off in your hand

Agree with Doucet.  Diamond is made by Bowtech obviously.  Do some research  and you learn about Bowtech's.   Or just keep just keep shooting and you learn sooner or later.    But seriously It's all in what is comfortable for you,  there are good and bad in all brands I don't care what brand you shoot.  All brands have there  + and - its all in what you like.   Me I like Mattews.

I wouldn't buy off of ebay.  Go to your local bow shop.  Sometimes they have last year's models on sale for pretty resonable prices.

Refuse to follow through maybe,  cause when you draw back and get to full draw and the a limb shatters you won't have to worry about your follow through.        ;D     Just Ribbing you a little don't get all serious on me.       On a serious note I have read quite of few posts on some archery forums about Bowtechs limbs shattering.
