Sex Workers Art Show - Sick

The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia is hosting the Sex Workers Art Show this week.

Talk about sick.

The show is then moving to a homosexual place in Richmond on Friday.

I guess the W&M kids need this type of show to see how to do what when they grow up.

Or, it could be for the faculty.  Yes, the faculty.

What in the world is this country coming to?  Who needs something like this in the first place, and then they show it on the campus of one of our leading institutions of higher education?

If anyone goes please PM me on it. ;D ;D ;D

BURLEY : finally took the show on the road !

Reminds me of when the conservative types got all upset over the Maplethorpe photography exhibits. Its art/free speech, if you dont like it dont go.

Whats the morning line: 6 to 5 this thread won't make it to page 3 ;D

Nope, I avoid that part of the state like the plague.   ;)

Oh, come on Burley.  Williamsburg is great.  A couple of my favorite lakes are near Williamsburg.   Of course we don't have dueling banjos like in Coeburn, but we do have teeth.   :)

Seriously, though.   It used to be that a somewhat large percentage of William and Mary's student body was gay or lesbian.   When I went through ROTC, my university's program was an extension of William and Mary's program, so I spent some time with them, in classroom settings and in the field.   Some of the cadets were gay.  Frankly, I had no problems with any of them and many of them were top cadets in the program and have gone on to very successful Army careers.   I'm confident many of them would frown on the "in-your-face" art exhibitions that get so much press.

It isn't just Williamsburg (although some of the best sushi I have ever eaten was from a restaurant in Williamsburg), but pretty much everything east of I-64 and the Hampton Roads area.

Don't care for Richmond either, but that is a story for another day.

Dude, I love the whole state.   I wouldn't live anywhere else.  I caught my first trout in the Jackson River below Lake Moomaw, and I've caught tuna and wahoo at the Norfolk Canyon.   I've hiked at Mount Rogers and Appomattox.  Hunted snakes in the Dismal Swamp.  Got a sister and grandparents buried at Arlington.  Got a road and a creek named after my great, great, great, great grandfather in Halifax County.  I ain't never leaving.  I love this state

I love everything west of 77 and south of 460.  ;)

It is absolutely essential to the health of a free nation that ALL artistic expression be displayed.

I was impressed with the anti drug theme of this exhibit.

Particularly the anti crack message so eloquently portrayed by this masterpiece.
