I'm sitting here eating home made biscuits and fresh home made strawberry preservers and in a couple more weeks it'll be fresh dewberries.

I *** you, that sounds really good right now.

And the crawfish are doing well and the harvest is a good one.

I love spring also. Everything is back to life, im hearing the crickets at night and all the trees and plants are turning green and growing again. I cant wait until summer though. There is nothing like summer evenings and nights, jeeze i cant wait.

Sam had boiled mudbugs yesterday

The garden is in the ground with cucumber plants about 3 tall, tomatoes doing fine, corn, okra, cantaloupe, watermelon, radish, pole beans.

Ah the joys of spring  ;)

All right Catt,  I'll be your huckleberry!

I have heard of a lot of different types of berries, but what is a dew berry?

I was wondering the same thing. Is it a southern thing? My mom makes lots of preserves and when I was on the phone with her I asked and she said she had no clue. :-/

is it anything like a dingle berry?, if so i think ill pass  ;D

There is a street in south county called dewberry.  I always wondered if it was a real berry.

Fill us in Catt

OK, looked it up, it looks just like a BlackBerry  but comes from a bush/weed instead of a tree.

Exactly but bigger, fatter, juicier & 10 times sweeter  ;)

Hey Catt what do you use in your boil? Do you know nayone who ships 50# sacks?

My favorite place to buy precooked crawfish in New Orleans was BRUNNINGS in Buck Town, when you got them piping hot they had the finest commercial boil !

Unfortunatley yesterday was dingleberry day in these parts
