anyone like these crankbaits? Just bought a couple in "bumble bee color". I like the size and profile, I fish for smallmouth the majority of the time.

I am a big fan of Normans DD22, but not so much of the Middle N. Had a few that had major tuning problems out of the box and never had much success with them. Maybe it was user error.

I like the DD22 but for smallmouth specific fishing I think a smaller bait would be better.

I have a Mad N, and a Baby N. Both in Lavender Shad, the smallies here on St. Clair tear them up.

do they like to be fished faster or slower?  I have a 3.8:1 reel also a 7:1.  also do you make contact with the bottom all the time or catch suspened fish in deeper water?

I have one Middle N that I do well with on the Potomac and the Juniata rivers, it's the chart/green back color. Smallies seem to like that color around here.
