How About Dem Tigers?

LSU scored three touchdowns to defeat the pesky University of California at Irvine Anteaters in Baton Rouge last night to advance to the College World Series, 21-7.

Coming off a disappointing loss to the Anteaters that snapped the Fighting Tigers 23 game winning streak, the LSU boys never gave up scoring 35 runs in three games to take the final two matches, 9 to 7 and 21 to 7.

LSU has five Baseball National Championships and their advancement to the CWS is a surprise to baseball pundits.  The team was not expected to win the SEC West nor the SEC nor make the CWS playoffs.

The people in Omaha are bracing for the crazy LSU fans arrival and all the good food and music they bring.

Hey, its going to be a fun time in Omaha this weekend so if you are in the area, pass up fishing and take in the CWS atmosphere and eat some good Louisiana food.

Just don't ask what it is or what is in it.  ;)

Your post just confused me pretty bad... Buuuut, UNC will be traveling to Omaha for the 3rd year in a row. Go Heels!

EDIT: Okay, I just now got the touchdown reference to the 21 runs scored. Nevermind!

Goodbye Alex Box! Hello Omaha, LSU's Coming Back

(06/09/2008) BY LSUsports.net

BATON ROUGE -- Seventy years of history at Alex Box Stadium ended on Monday night at 10:01 p.m. -- and the next era will start on Sunday in Omaha. LSU's rapid ascent back to the top of college baseball continued with an NCAA Super Regional thumping of UC Irvine, 21-7, to advance to the NCAA College World Series for the 14th time.

First it's good to have LSU back in Omaha, it's been awhile.  I would love to take an LSU fan fishing while here for the CWS.  Any takers?

GO BIG RED

Touchdowns and homeruns, what the hell is LSU playin now?

My favorite LSU memory would have to be last year, Nov 23, McFadden running for 206 yds, 3 tds and throwing a td...and the Hogs beatin LSU 50-48 in triple OT....

Oops sorry  :D

We Know,

That was a wild game.  Lots of fun.

The Hogs lose Houston Nutt ot Ole Miss or did Ole Miss get the short end of that stick?

LSU-Arkansas football series is super.  It is a game we look forward to each year on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Glad to have another SEC fan on the site.

I would also extend my offer to the wonderful fans of:

Fresno State

North Carolina

Miami ( this is a begrudging offer from a Husker :) )

Rice

Stanford

Georgia

Florida State (another toughy for a Husker)

I was in Texas last year for that game with my uncles who are all razorback fans and we were going nuts. We went to Rajun Cajun after wearing Arkansas gear and the place was empty. It was a shock

Baseball is a strange game.

One day you score 20 runs and the next day you get shut out.

I have no idea about the game or how good UNC is or how good LSU will play but I will catch the tail end as I am in a tournament on Sunday.

Whatever happens is OK, as long as the Tigers win!!!!    ;D
