Sister Mary, a very young, new nun at St Josephs parish in South Brooklyn, enters Walsh's Liquor Store on 5th ave. She asks Mr. Walsh for a half gallon of Brandy. Mr. Walsh put's one on the counter, with a strange look on his face,.

Sister Mary asks him "What's wrong Mr. Walsh?"

Mr.Walsh answers" Sister I am used to a small quantity of liquor going to the convent , around the holidays. I have never had a request for a 1/2 gallon in the middle of the summer"

Sister Mary leans over and Whispers to Mr. Walsh" It's for the Mother Superior, she has the constipation you know>"

She leaves with her package, now comes closing time and Mr. Walsh is on his way home and passes the conveant to see a group of people gathered along with the cops. He gets out, and on the other side of the crowd. looking very drunk and signing and twirling around is young Sister Mary

Good one, Muddy.  ;D   ;D   ;D

When I was a kid attending Holy Family School in Louisville, Kentucky they rebuilt the street in front of the school. Back then we had no air conditioning in the building so Sister Margaret Spalding left the windows open.

All day long we could hear the workers yelling to each other and using language that was offensive to Sister's delicate sensibilities. We third graders thought it was pretty funny.

Finally, Sister went to see the principal, Sister Mary Agnella, and asked her to do something about the workers' language. The principal tried to calm her down.

"You know Sister, I don't like their language either, but they are just common working men. They call a spade a spade."

"Oh no they don't," Sister Margaret Spalding exclaimed, "they call it a #*> @#$%^& shovel!"
