5 hour energy

Featured Replies

Anyone ever tried this stuff its the small bottle i think its like 2 ounces. Well unforunately it actually works haha. I was at work tonite and i was heading out with a girl after work and i bought a thing of this cause 6 hours of dishwashing puts you to sleep from boredom, well i hung out with her and just got back from a midnight trip to golds gym, its almost 3 am and theres no sleep in sight for me haha. It wouldn't be too bad but i gotta work at 8 am so just when i start to get tired i gotta work. Well at least now i no what will get me up for my 8 am classes from now on lol ;D ;D ;D

I've used them a few times. The nice thing about them compared to an energy drink is you don't get all jittery from the caffeine. Even so, they come in a non-caffeine version also (blk bottle)

I think things like this are ok for the "instance" when it is just plain needed in a hurry but should be avoided as a mainstay to keep you going. I can see people using it as a "sleep supplement". That can't be good, we need quality sleep.

Best to remember that quality energy should be achieved through proper diet and a consistent sleep routine

This is a good example, it's 4:40am and I'm up.  It's my "normal" and "consistent" sleep pattern.  My alarm is set for 1:45 on the weekdays so sleeping till 3:30-4a is a perfect Sunday morning with 2 hrs extra sleep.  Normally, I'm fishing right now but it's like 35 degrees right now.  The fishies are getting a mulligan  ;D

It's all about the Redline.  I company called VPX makes it.  It's harder to find than your normal energy drink, and much more potent.  I use these for the "Instance"  because my body became immune to normal energy drinks.  This is the type of energy drink you don't want to abuse.  I personally now 2 friends that abused it and had to go to the hospital (Gamers that used it for a sleep alternative during a LAN party).  Heart started racing and wouldn't stop.  Serious stuff, but it works great, and there is no "crashing" after it wears off.  It is more expensive then the normal energy drink.  $4 for 8 oz

Good old Redbull works for me. Just enough to wake me up but not so much as to the point where I feel as though my heart is going to explode.

The citris tastes lake crap but the berry isn't that bad. I always get a chaser drink for it though.

Ditto, but no chaser.  You can also split it up, take 1/2 now, 1/2 later.

If you take half will you nod out a 2.5 hours? ::)

It said so on the bottle and figuring I weight nothing, it probably  applied to me.

I've heard that the main thing that gives you the energy is a high dosage of vitamin B12, anyone know about that?

That is a misconception on how B12 works. Don. B12 has to work along with a complex called the Intrinsic Factor, together they build strong red blood cells and those cells can effectively carry 02 and nutrients as needed by the other organs. It's not like you can take a large dose of B12 and get energized right away. The regimen of Intrinisic Factor and B12 is used to treat Anemia

I have no knowledge of the proiduct , I would check out if it has a high amount of High Fructose corn syrup, and or sugar along with caffine, as many of the other energy drinks have,

Its ok, less of a crash than you get with redbull.
