DVD Burn software?

Featured Replies

Been awhile but does anyone got a site for a descent dvd burn software free download.

I remember getting some versions of nero free back in the day but, can't find anything now, even the nero 6 is asking for key license as if buying??

I know theres some that let you try so many burns but then lock youn out unless you buy, I'm wondering is there anything free that works?

I've got dvd shrink, but I'm stuck after that.  and if I just have to buy then I will but I'd like to check first if there is something you can get right now for a free download that works?

Like I said its been awhile(4 years) since I played around with this stuff

Are you trying to burn Movies to DVD or just copy Data files to a DVD?

what i do is use DVD Shrink to create an ISO image of the DVD, and then use a program called Sonic DigitalMedia Plus v7 (i think it came on my computer) to burn the image onto the disk.

DVD Shrink is free but but i dont think you can actually burn a DVD with it.

You can try DVD Fab HD, I know that I can copy and burn DVD's but I am not sure if the free version will burn them or not.  You can also use it to convert DVD's to formats for phones, Ipods, etc.

You need DVDFabHD Decrypter first to crack the DVD, then shrink it, then burn it with Nero 6. I've got a pirated full version of Nero 6 from a friend, but he got it off of azureus.

*Also try www.dvdidol.com, for free software*

I used to use DVD shrink and it would do all the work. Shrink to fit on a single layer dvd and burn the dvd. I use DVD Fab now and it works great, but DVD shrink is free and works great also.

Just out of curiosity what kind of quality can you get out of a burned dvd it can't be as good as the original?

Depends on rate of compression.

Yeah it depends on the compression but if you just use DL DVD's you can get the same quality as the dvd you copy it from.

Whats the average when you just use regular DVD+ or - R.

Well if you cut out the menus, extras and do just the movie then you get can get 100% to 60% on quality. Generaly if you keep compression low you won't tell to much of a diffrence or even any at all. Well that's what "I hear" ahyway. :P
