Fire at my workplace...

Featured Replies

Just after 4 today a fire broke out at the bank I work at. Apparently no one was injured but there were still about 2 dozen people in the building when it started. I stopped there around 10:30 tonight and was told it started in the breakroom in the basement and that's where most of the fire damage happened, but the two upper floors which are all offices suffered significant smoke damage.

I'm just thanking my lucky stars I wasn't in the building at the time. I was actually planning on leaving early today, too, but got held up a few extra minutes. I left probably around 4:10 and the first alarms went off around 4:15. I share an area on the 2nd floor with 3 women and I know that 2 of them were still there after I left. Those women are like mothers to me and I thank God that they, and everyone else, made it out safely.

Glad no one was hurt. Any word on what started it?

X2

Let us know what started it.  :-?

They found a presto pot that was modified to look like a bomb.   It had about 3" of melted goo in it and a bottle of green colored dye nearby,......named "watermelon",..... but smells nothing like watermelons........  ;D
