Rage Tail Toad & Shad

Featured Replies

First of all, wow I fished the toad for the first time and I'm blown away. It's a like a little buzzbait tremendous action. Great , Great improvement over the Zoom Toad. Wow, had some vicious hits, no takers though.

Second, when would you use the Shad? I'm interested when, where and how to fish this if any has had luck , please let me know, Thanks,

Hey Backwoods, Go to www.ragetail.com and you will see hooking inst. etc. On the Shad, I like a 4/0 EWG Gammy heavy wire hook and on the Toad I use up to a 5/0. Fish the Shad any where in and around the salad as it comes thru it really well. It is as close to a soft plastic buzzbait as there is and the head shakes back and forth. There is also some video footage showing action of the baits on the main Product page. Let'em load up on it and hit'em just like a buzzbait.

Don't tell anyone, but skipping the shad under a boat dock and reeling just fast enough to keep it on the surface might pick up a strike or two here and there... :)
