Any Tricks?

Featured Replies

To get to sleep? I am going on a 2 day steelhead trip and I have to wake up at 2am to drive out to meet a buddy, but I cant fall asleep. This happens all the time when I have tournaments too. Any tips from you veterans for the future?

NyQuil when you get home in the evenings before the tournament. It will knock you out for about six hours. Just get up and go fishing. :)

Yep, NyQuil puts me to sleep PDQ.  Benedryl also works in a pinch.

Nyquil for me too.  It never makes me grogy in when I wake up either.  Crown Royal..... on the rocks as well.  MMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!

You and I both know the best way...

Hit up Fourbizz on AIM. He will whine and complain non-stop about his life, his girl, what he is currently eating and drinking, his job, how he found a chocolate chip in his chocolate-chipless cookies.... You name it, he has an issue. I'm usually asleep in 3-4 minutes depending on the day he has had and whether or not the girl is at his place or at work.

My problem with NyQuil is that I wake up lightheaded...but it'll definitely knock you out.

Reading a magazine puts me out pretty quick.

I have the same problem before a tournament.  This year I have been staying up 2 nights before the tournament so that I am dead tired the night before the tournament.

Say the tourney is Saturday morning.  I'll stay up really late Thursday night, and stay up all day Friday (no nap).  Then Friday night you'll be dead tired.

I have had the same problem. I  might fall asleep but wake up 20 times. Can't take Nyquil so I try to get up EARLY on Fri. and then after work I'll do some physical work or go for a long walk. Try to get fresh air. And the Crown on ice doesn't hurt either.

Both Benadryl and NyQuil can lead to dependecy issues, READ THE LABELS

Your going to Penn State correct?  You already got all the materials needed to fall asleep quite quickly.  Lay in bed and open one of those college textbooks might I suggest The Classical World: An Epic History from Homer to Hadrian. You'll fall asleep within minutes trying to read one of them.

LMFAO!!!!! This is the funniest thing i've heard in along time.  So true tin.... so true.  it's like listening to an Emo tell a story about their day.   And serioulsy.... a chocolate-chipless chocolate chip cookie. WTH!!! :D

Try sleeping with Tin's girlfriend, if the boredom doesnt put you out for the night, the smell will.

For some reason the spiderman song is stuck in my head.... "Spidertaint, Spidertaint, does everything a spider aint!!!"

And yours is the reason I'm exhausted and pass out as soon as I hit the pillow. ;D
