Good move, they wasted no time making up for the loss of Smoltz!  The Braves are always loaded up with good arms!

They need some bats too!

Too bad they don't have the budget the Yankees do. I like many others, am rooting against the Yankees because they're trying to buy a championship.

Side note: I don't care for watching the Braves play on T.V. but love listening to them on the radio. I've been to a couple games and loved that as well; just can't stand baseball on t.v. for some reason.  :-?

Lowe is a good addition, but I still don't know if they will be able to compete in the NL East this year. It's hard to keep up when your a small market team. I'll still be rooting for them though.

It was also good to get Kenshin Kawakami signed as well.  Hopefully he will be one of the successful Japanese pitchers to come to the majors.  At least they are getting guys that have been durable.   Kawakami compares to Oswalt they say, just a touch slower.
