Super Bowl quarterbacks

Featured Replies

Is Kurt Warner the only quarterback to take (not just be on the team but TAKE) two different teams to the Super Bowl? We've been thinking since yesterday and can't come up with any.

So said the ESPN ticker today at lunch.  I'd have never thought of that one on my own.

He's also the third oldest behind Elway and Unitas.

earl morrell took the colts to the s.b. in 1969...unitas went down early that year.

he also took miami to the s.b. in 1972, the undefeated year...griese also went down early but came back for the big game.

tho morrell was the backup qb for both teams, for all intents and purposes, he was the qb that got them both there.

Likely the "official" record goes to the qb who started all year perhaps?

Sounds kind of like some places I've worked before.  I did all the work and someone else got credit for it.   >:(
