Boy, give them an end date for the show and they really start rolling.  The current season is easily the best since the initial season.

The writers are doing an excellent job of building towards an exciting conclusion.  Each week old questions are answered and new questions are posed.

This is a perfect example of why episodic television writers should know the ending at the beginning.  Far too often, as a show becomes popular, longevity becomes the objective rather than quality.  In other words, if you cannot tell the story in 48-72 episodes, don't even bother.  Milking a show is anathema to telling a good story and leads to 'jumping the shark'.

24 is a perfect formula.  They have 24 hours to tell a story and they do a good job of it.

I never watched the show till over the off-season.  I've been watching the reruns on the internet plus a couple channels have been running them as well.  I'm pretty much hooked.

Great show and you're right, they're doing a good job of tying things together and helping make sense of a lot of what's gone on the past 4 - 5 seasons.

I agree that this is the best season since the first. I worry that too many new characters are being introduced this close to the end but I'll trust the producers- they've been screwing with my head long enough.

I was actually in Oahu on vacation when they were filming for the first season, I was with my family driving down the coast and we were going down an old dirt road and saw a plane on the ground with pieces of it everywhere and drove up and thats when they told us they were filming for a TV show LOST and so they actually cleared the road for us so we could continue our drive down the coast....little did we know it was a dead end so about a mile and a half after they had cleared a path for us to go through we had to turn around and thhey cleared another path so we could drive through again haha... I have a picture of the plane crash somewhere around here it wasnt from a digital but i'll try to find a way to post it, it was a pretty neat site after knowing it was just for a show and not real crash

Loved season 1

Liked season 2

Quit watching mid season 3

Have not watched since.

Same here. It just got too confusing. I couldn't keep up if I missed an episode. It's good to know that they are wrapping it up. Maybe I will go back and rewatch the previous seasons and then the new ones so everything is fresh in my mind.

The first hour is the past weeks show with the little popup explanations at the bottom of the screen to fill you in on what the heck they're talking about if you haven't stayed up with it.  Very helpful IMO.

Sorry to bring up an older thread but I found and scanned that picture I took when I was in Hawaii and they were filming for the first season and we drove by the plane crash on the beach

That's pretty cool!

My parents have the free rental thing from blockbuster where you can rent 2 at a time. So me and my girlfriend started watching the lost season. The first season was amazing i couldn't stop watching it. Then it starts getting I don't know too much crazy stuff or something idk how to explain it. But i still loved it. We just finished the last episode of season 4 and man I can't wait to see the last season. I was a little ticked off we didn't finish season 4 in time to start watching season 5, now I can't just jump in a start watching season 5 I'm going to have to wait until it comes out on DVD. >:( Awesome show though really always has you guessing, VERY unpredictable and when you think your going to figure something out a whole new set of questions gets revealed. If you haven't seen this show I highly suggest going and renting the seasons!
