Burglar chose wrong house.

A suspect forced his way into the occupied residence via the front door about 8am.  The occupants, a Major for my Sheriff's office and his wife.  The Major was getting out of the shower when he heard someone forcing their way into the house.  Major wrapped a towel around himself and confronted the suspect, who was now inside.  Brief scuffle ensued resulting in a dead suspect with one gun shot to head.

My thoughts:  Great start to a perfect day.

Well, I would have thought the cop would go get a weapon himself instead of wrestling for the one the guy had. IMO he was lucky.

Also, while I agree the creep got what's coming to him, that family may never feel the same about that house. Sad.

I never said the bad guy had the gun.  The cop/homeowner had the gun.

Thanks for clearing that up.

There was a guy recently who broke into a martial arts studio......while a class was going on.  ;D

That is sooooo far from my idea of the perfect day.

Score another one for the good guys. Good job!

That dead perp will surely qualify for the Darwin Award.

Im glad the officers family is safe and no one else was injured.

A burglar broke into a local officers house here last week.

The suspect ended up in the hospital with alot of stiches in his forehead. Then he has the stones to scream Police brutality....

He's lucky he's not pushing up daisies.

And what's more pathetic is there will be some dirt bag attorney who will somehow find a jury to award in the crooks behalf.

I'm consistently dumbfounded by that possibility. They are not many things more dangerous than stupid people in large groups.

And ya can't cure stupid....

Don't wound 'em. If you only do that they can still sue ya. Take them out once and for all. Chances are they'll just commit a crime again.

Thieves burn me up.  I agree that that is not the way that I would want to start my day, but that guy deserved what he got.  Work for what you want/need.  Don't take what other's have worked for.

I'm sure that I'm just preaching to the choir.

That major is a beast of a MAN. Remind me to shake his hand one day!
