What were your most scary points in life...

Featured Replies

Coping with the kidnap, rape, and murder of my not quite three year old daughter, and the repercussions of weeks of trials , sentencing, execution. Loss of income due to it all. Bankruptcy. Marriage breakup. Starting a new life.

Wow. Hearing some of these stories has made me realize how fortunate I have been. I don't know most of you but I am truly sorry that some of you guys have had such difficult events in your lives and I am equally impressed with how well you seem to have handled them.

X2.

The question originally posted demands personalized answers but compared to others, I've never been that scared.

Sure I've lost people close to me, had family members hurt, got laidoff with a new wife and newborn, suffered carwrecks, but it pales in comparison to some of y'alls experiences. My scariest moment was being taken away from my biological parents and placed in 'the system' at the age of nine. Orphanages then foster care were very scary but I realized upon becoming an adult that it was truly a blessing to be taken out of that home and that just because you had a child doesn't make you a parent.

I applaud you guys for moving past those hurts and not giving up.

Absolutely!! I can say some of the most painful points in my life would be nowhere near some of the stuff on here.
