is scheduled to give a series of lectures on sex to newlywed and soon to be wed couples.  Since the minister's wife is somewhat old fashioned, and a little prudish, he thinks it best if he not reveal his lecture topic to her.

After the evenings lecture the minister arrives home and his wife asks him, "How did your lecture go?"  "Fine, fine" he replied.  "What did you speak about, dear?" his wife asks.  Thinking quickly, the minster replies," "Boating and sailing".  "That's nice" she says, thinking no more about it.

Several days later the minister's wife runs into one of the couples who attended the lecture.  They rave about how much they enjoyed the talk and how informative it was.  Puzzled, the wife walks away and sometime later meets yet another couple from the lecture. They, too,

express how much they enjoyed her husband's talk and how they were looking forward to practicing some of his suggestions.  Finally, after hearing all of this praise, the minister's wife says, " I just can't understand how he got to be such an authority on the subject. After all, he only tried it twice. The first time it made him sick and the second time his hat blew off."
