I know there is a XBOX360 thread, but I was wondering if there are a select few that play on the PS3 platform? Actually even it you don't play COD, let me know what you are playing.

Can't help on your question, but I've always been a DIEHARD PS fan..  But I CANNOT see the justification of their price tag when you can get the 360 for $200.  I've played the PS3 but just can't pull the trigger on one.  I use my roomates 360, but if I were to buy a next gen right now, I would have to go with the 360.  Sony REALLY needs to bring the price tag down.  They have always been on the top, but I think I heard even the Wii was ahead of them in sales....  Rant over!!   ;D

I play COD on my Xbox360 and love it, my neighbor's son has a PS3 and I can't notice the difference, but I can say hands down if I were to buy a console today, it would be a PS3 hands down.

It doubles as a Blue Ray player and the PS3 specific games BLOW away anything on the dated XBOX360 platform. I like the Netflix option on the Xbox though and some of the online content.  

COD on ps3 is probably the only game I play these days.

I don't play as much as I used to which sucks because I keep finishing at the bottom of the team on mercenary team death match.  when I was playing alot I was way at the top.  Love calling in them dogs!!

I bought the ps3 for several reasons.  

First was that the xbox seems to break easier than the ps3,

then of course there's the free online gaming

and finally that blu-ray dvd feature.... kinda makes this machine a real bargain IMO.

XBOX live might not be free but I've heard it absolutely destroys the PS3's online features.

South FLA, what PS3 specific games are you talking about? I haven't seen anything that PS3 offers that XBOX doesn't except for that Infamous game and Killzone. Have you ever played Halo 1, 2, or 3? Easily some of the best shooters EVER (proven by their immense sales records)

I agree that PS3 has better console specific games than XBOX.

Dan, think Gran Turismo and Metal Gear. Two of the best franchises of all time.

And one word. Halo. I'm pretty sure it was the best selling shooter of all time until COD4 came out (and COD4 is available for more platforms so that gives it an advantage)

I just bought WAW for the PS3.  Haven't really played it to much yet though.

I'm ready for some ps3 cod waw! xbox has a ton of rpg's that sony doesn't , but on the whole i think they are pretty even. Sonys free online play is a huge factor when i chose. Lets set up a time for cod waw. my tag is on cod is fisher1973 ,, go figure.

I've noticed most of them only play defense though... by the time there done zigzagging and jumping up and down like their high on speed, I've already shanked them   ;D

fisher and bassin, I will add you guys tomorrow. I forgot about this thread, but found it again tonight. I agree with everything said about why they prefer PS3 over 360; especially the Blu-Ray player. WAW is also far superior in gameplay and especially graphics than COD4. COD4 ruins a large screen in 1080p. I better get going, "Enemy recon plane is right above us."
