I know you said he had arthritis pretty bad, but maybe on a nice day you could ask him if he wanted to join you at the lake. He may not be able to fish long , so just a nice boat ride or a shady spot for some catfishing. I hope when i mature to the point of someone clling me "old timer" that a younger person would offer to take me. good luck, fisher

fisher1973 is my gamer tag, original i know , lol. I would like to get a game in with just BR members. Bragging rights would be fun during these long cold months. I have played with uic , and he is pretty good, unless that was his girlfriend i was online with. It would be great if we could compete cross platform, i am on ps3 and would like to wipe out all the x box kiddies.

Sitting 16' up in my deer stand i saw a turkey bust out of the woods. I was amazed to see a coyote on its tail. The turkey took about 100 yards to get airborn, dont know why. During the chase the coyote ran right under a cow. The heffer never even flinched. Just thought it was strange, but apperently the cow couldnt care less about the coyote. Oh yeh the coyote ended up missing the tukey as it finaly rose from the ground , by about 3'.

Dragon age , and modern warfare 2 have me excited this season. Cant wait!

Fishing a buzzbait out of the front of the boat at sunrise, an owl came out of the trees and its talons actually hit the water about 4 inches behind the buzz. I was a little amazed, and thankfull it missed, would have felt really bad hurting an owl.

The mexi-melts are the bes, though for some reason they are not on all the taco bell menus.

Dan that is exactly what im talking about. Is that a mattlure , if it isnt what brand is it, or is it homemade?

First, i want to say that i am not an expereinced swimbait fisherman. I am wanting to try it though, i fishmore than a few large ponds in my area that the bass seem to feed on a LOT of crappie. Matt your lures look amazing, and from the ppl who have posted about your lures i believe they wiil work that way also. Do you have plans to make any white and black crappie looking ones? I would definetly buy those, and think there may be a market for them. On quite a few occasions i have caught large (for my area) bass that still had a crappie in their gullet (sp?). Looking forward to your response. thx fish

I was fishing a pond with my cousin this summer and while wading she hooked a nice bass on a beetle spin, it broke her her line. We decided to sit on the bank and catfish for a couple hours then went wading again, bam she lands a 4# with the original beetle spin stuck in its lip.

Those are stick bobbers you are reffering to , i think. They offer less resistance then the round bobbers and are a good choice to catch panfish with. If you are taking a young one one out try putting 1/16 jigs with a night crawler tipped on it . good luck
