Vick to Seahawks?

The idea that Michael Vick(notes) could land in Seattle has been mentioned to me by multiple league sources over the past couple of days.

From what I've heard, new Seattle Seahawks head coach Jim Mora had a great relationship with Vick while the two were in Atlanta despite the negative reports circulating through the rumor mill right now and that he actually cares about the former Falcon and his future. I've also been told that, from a public relations standpoint, Seattle would offer Vick some protection from the media since it isn't a city that draws the kind of overwhelming national attention as a Dallas or a Pittsburgh.

Time to throw the Seahawks into the ring for Vick's services? Today, Vick said he's getting close to signing with a team, so we should soon know where this story leads.

To me this seems like the most logical choice for him to be accepted back into the league. Maybe his only chance as it is true the media will eat him alive. Mora can also help with this transition. If he is smart and this presents itself he needs to jump on it IMO.

Oh PU-LEEZE!!  There's too many PETA members here to allow that.  No kidding - there would be huge protests at every game.

Besides, Seattle has no need for another QB. In addition, the Seahawks management demands high moral standards of its players and coaches.  They've dumped players that had domestic abuse and drunk driving charges.  They won't tolerate an ex-con.

And finally, the Hawk organization doesn't like premodonna's, superstars, or stand-out players in so much they want a TEAM, not a bunch of guys trying to outdo each other, squabbling, or otherwise creating negative media for the team.

Vick doesn't fit no matter how hard you try.

Now, picture PETA members showing up at a Stealers game.  They'd be lucky to get out with their shirts on their back. Now THAT would be something!  LOL!!

My top picks where I think he'll go:  Stealers, Vikings, Pats, or 49r's

Hey now Glenn I honestly don't think that the Rooney's would EVER take on someone with this kind of baggage.I think that good ole Al Davis will end up taking him .If not the Raiders then Dallas or the Pats ::)

And you're right PETA people wouldn't have a chance.

By the way that's not right it's STEELERS,sorry if you still have bad memories 8-)

Glenn I think maybe the Hawks may want a Super Bowl.A lot may be tolerated for one. They did pick up Mora afterall. A lot goes on behind the scenes. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I'd take Vick over old man time Hasslebeck any day.

I don't consider Mora a 'prize' coach but I can see him trying to spice it up in Seattle. Signing Vick would definitely spice things up.

Did Seattle ever get any receivers? They sure need a few.

TJ Hushmanzada for one.

That's a solid pickup. He was probably beggin' to get away from 'Ocho Big Mouth' in Cincy.  ;D

The PETA headquarters being a few miles away didn't stop him from using his house for dog fights...

I wouldn't really mind seeing him play again. He served his time and as long as he stays out of trouble then I'm ok with it (although I don't think he will stay out of trouble, his past along with his brother's demonstrate a pretty high level of thuggery). You can't deny that he is an exciting player to watch. I think he really changed the traditional role of the quarterback--not so much in the NFL but definitely for high school and college teams.
