I have two questions that I am looking for help with:

1)  On most boxes of ammo, they give the ballisitics based off of sighting in at 100 yds.  How would one do the math if you were sighting in at 200 yds?

2)  What is the "best" way to shoot with a shooting stick?  It is a Stony Point that telescopes and doubles as a walking stick.

I appreciate the advice.  Thanks

Most loads show a 'short' and 'long' range zero.  Look on the website, if it's not on the box.  What ammo is it?

The sticks are helpful on open ground if you can't lay prone but a tree or big rock, etc. are better than a stick.  If you intend to shoot with a sticks in the field, do so at the range to get the feel of them...  they aren't real solid, but are better then a standing off hand shot most of the time.

Thanks for the info.  Shooting off the stick felt like I was drunk with all the wobbling around.

As for the ammo, the box gives data for a 100 yard zero and then the drop at 200, 300, and 400.  I'm wondering if the drop from 200 to 300 would be the same with a 200 yard zero as it is a 100 yard zero.

I'll check the website, but am certainly open to opinions or personal experience.

I'm shooting a 7mm mag using Federal Fusion ammo, 175 grain.

As mentioned earier, the ammo company should provide balistics on the web.

I never cared for stix, I have had good experience with the harris bi-pod laying in the prone, or sitting indian style.
