Best Birthday?

Featured Replies

So Monday is my birthday, my wife had a fishing trip with a guide on Lake Michigan planned for me and a friend for a 10 hour trip.  Well that was recently postponed until early September because... I have an appointment to have my wisdom teeth removed... was the only day I could get off work / have it scheduled before fall semester starts.   >:(

Tentatively the best birthday I have ever had turned into one of the worst... Oh well, will make for a hell of a fun random day in early September...  ;D

if the teeth can be pulled out without them breaking it wont be that bad. my daughter just had it done and she didnt even need the lortab she got afterwards.  8-)  8-)  8-)

the top 2 are just getting pulled... the bottom 2 are getting cut out.  Getting KO'ed for the procedure.  Never been put under before, not to thrilled about it.

I've had mine out too. It wasn't too bad. The worst part is tasting blood the next week, and not being able to eat what you want. Hopefully they'll give you some good drugs.

yeah just sitting around the house now, they put me under I dont remember to much but my entire mouth is numb still and the constant blood is annoying.

The pain will hit you tomorrow!

;D

I'll never forget my sister having her tonsillectomy when she was 20 or 21. After the surgery she came home laughing and joking and talking. She thought it was a piece of cake til those drugs wore off. She couldn't talk the next 3 days, and stayed on a hardcore soup diet.

I am surprised you remembered anything at all!!!

When I had my heart surgrey I was out from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m. and the last thing I remember was my surgeon talking about Redfishing in the Gulf, and that was an hour before I went under.

;D

I don't remember a ton... like I remember talking to him about fishing and the military, then he did something with the IV, I'm guessing put in the drugs... I remember saying "wow I feel that..." and he said "good that's good" then I remember walking to the resting room to lay down in there where my wife was after it was all done and from then on my memory is clear except for getting a blanket put on me don't remember that  :-?

Just a bummer now... I haven't eaten in 24 hours... pretty hungry and apple sauce just isn't cutting it :)

Overall not to bad though... and it DID thunderstorm all day. So perhaps this is a good thing my guided tour got transferred to the beginning of sept for this.

ahhhhh.....

wisdom teeth removal was a pain for me man (had all 4 of mine impacted)

as for the food part, i didnt eat solid food for over 7 days....

but i can reassure you that your first bite of something tasty will be the best one ever, although awkward and still painful ;)

my go to's were smoothie king, yogurt, pudding, and strawberry milk.....

although, in highschool, i did witness my friend put mac and cheese in a blender and drink it down!!

....that was a foul sight.

mac and cheese in a blend??  Wow... lol

best thing I've found so far is tomato soup and bread (dipped in it)
