I was kind of surprised to see this.

I'm not a news junky but when my wife and I would watch him we always said we liked his style.

 He always came accross as genuine and seemed lke an all around good guy / class act.

 I didn't find any mention on what he wants to in his retirement. Has anyone else?

I think he was forced out.

I don't watch the network news but I did enjoy listening to him on any occasion I stumbled across his broadcast.

I would have thought they would have replaced him with a new, fresh face and not that old bag.

But what do I know about TV broadcasting or who owes who favors???
