Something COMPLETELY different

Featured Replies

from my last post...Any of you north Florida boys will know about Lochloosa.  I grew up fishing Lochloosa and Orange Lake ( they are connected ).  These guys grew up with the same upbringing and same soul I have.  Old Florida is being built up and destroyed, and these boys bring the pain of that happening.  If you don't like the style, you still can't deny the realness and emotion of this song.  This guy (J.J.) has played this song probably more than a thousand times and still gets choked up when he sings it, and it waters my eyes up too, cuz I came from where we came from, and I see what he's talkin' about more and more every time I go home to visit!  This song probably applies to other wetlands, in other parts of this great nation too, and if it does, you'll feel this song, BIG TIME!

yep, they aren't bad. That version seems slower than the album version.

My friend worked at that festival.

It is slower than the album version, yeah, I have all of them.  ;)

One of the best live performance recordings I have heard yet, though.  It's awesome how much emotion JJ brings with his music.  It's rare to find a musician these days that is so connected to his words that it brings him to tears every time he sings certain songs.

I like "Tragic" and "Turpentine" the best.

"Lochloosa" (obviously for me cuz I grew up fishing that lake), "on Palestine", and "Tragic" are probably my fave 3 by them, but it's alllll good man!

WOW :o Great song man. Goes along with my favorite songs to sing, and one of my favorite skynyrd songs "all I can do is write about it"

love their sound, right up my alley
