  1. Toast-a-chee sammich crackers and Vienna sausages (the hot sauce ones) I seriously think that’s the only times I eat either of those things but it’s almost like a tradition thing at this point. It’s just what I take
  2. Thanks Glen, it was great meeting you and your wife as well. If nothing else I have some great memories. I had a blast at the 2 trips I attended. I’m sure the economy isn’t helping anybody on the boater side of things either here lately, not to mention the travel costs and gas, etc. I get it. I miss Kent’s box of wine also ?
  3. Hi Glenn and Kent and all the mods, and everyone else…I’ve been away for a while and coming back around just wanted to know, are road trips still a thing?? Me and my friend Bryan had a blast, and we are both Iraq vets and we were both humbled by the kind words and fellowship we had on the road-trips years back. I don’t know if he still gets in here often but I still check in from time to time and just wanted to say that I personally had a great time with all the crew back in the day. That being said, as the title states…are road trips still a thing?
  4. I have the dobyns fury 733 and it excels at the baits that are printed on its blank. It’s actually one of the best utility “do it all” rods that I’ve ever used for pond hopping and bank beating as well.
  5. That’s the worm. Both those baits are money Just wish I could find a local shop that has em. I prefer to buy local but guess I’m stuck doin online. Was just Wondering tho if anybody else here had used em
  6. Those worms are the original producto type my cousin introduced me to. Yeah they caught em real good. They had a “chameleon” color that looked kinda brown but shined purple in the sun. Those straight tails with the paddles and their buzz shads were real killers The shads
  7. Anybody else here love them? Their buzz tail shad and original worm are killers for me. I got a 100pk of each from my cousin as a Christmas gift and running low. I was wondering if anybody knew where they could be bought or are they ONLY available directly from their company.
  8. Does anybody know any places that would be able to be wade fished on Fork? I’m new to Dallas area and wanna fish Fork or any of the nearby large bodies of water but left my boat in Florida when I moved. Any input would be greatly appreciated. If not if anybody had an empty seat I’ll take that too haha. Thanks everyone
  9. I know the plethora of big water opportunities in my area. I just moved to Red Oak TX from Florida and I’m lookin for some good ponds/small lakes that are fishable from the bank. If anybody in the area knows any please lemme know! Also if ya have an empty seat some time for big water I’d definitely be on board. Hope to hear from y’all! Thanks
  10. Wife’s outta town in TX and I’ve been wanting to get outta my local area (jacksonville, FL outskirts/macclenny) to do some catchin. I’d help out for fuel or whatever ya need. Thanks for lookin. Oh an N.FlMike I’m not moving to TX now!
  11. For the guy who asked about crappie from shore...I walked about 2 miles of beautiful shoreline along the St. Mary’s river today with a black and yellow beetle spin and caught one behind almost every current break I came to. There was one spot with a large cypress tree that had a large eddy and deep hole behind it where they were stacked like you wouldn’t believe. I caught at least 15 fish off that one spot, 2 of the fish ended up being very nice sized red breast sunfish. Now if I can figure out how to post the pics I will. Idunno how to minimize the file size of my pics on my iPhone. If anyone could assist I have pics to go along with it.
  12. I would definitely recommend having roadwarrior in the boat with you there. It’d be like having a free expert guided trip. He knows his stuff on those waters. By the way RW say hi sometime ?
  13. I feel so bad for y’all norfers every time I see these. At least ya DO have the salmonids n other cold water fish to hold ya over?
  14. Both are fun and I’ve caught big smallies in both but...Pickwick hands down for me
  15. Great vid Glenn! It is a very vesatile lure. I fished it weightless on a 4/O ewg hook. Id crawl or buzz it thru emergent eel grass and drop it at the holes or edges. Man this thing was killer.. Kudos to Steve (Big-O) on yet another serious money bait. Check the post on the fishing reports forum for the N FL fall post...it was a great time and most of my fish were taken on the rage swimmer
  16. To make a long story short....THEY WORK! I own and have used keitechs and while those ARE a helluva bait....this swimmer has a better full body motion to me and casts much btter as well if you wanna toss it with an unweighted EWG hook. The FL bass were lovin them today and I'm definitely gonna be picking up more. Anybody else tried em yet?
  17. Definitely a great time! The fish were all over the war eagle until my main blade came off. The first decent fish had apparently caused JUST enough of a gap to form at the top of the wire that when i landed the next one the whole swivel and blade came off!! Mike was nailin' em on plastics while I was feedin' em the blades. The rage tail rage swimmer definitely came thru when i had my spinnerbait malfunction. The bite on the eel grass edges was on fire for us both. Big thanks to Mike for sharing his home waters with me. He's a great guy and hes blessed with some great home waters for sure! Im lookin forward to the next trip buddy. Ya'll be on the look out for the next trip posting. Im sure we'll be all over em again.
  18. St. Marys river can be fun. A white with red stripe beetle spin w a gold blade will catch anything that swims in there. I live in Glen St. Mary in baker county and the river isnt far from me. I bank fish it with a light spinning combo with that beetle spin and catch bass, specks, bluegill, catfish...literally anything that swims in that river will eat that lil dude.
  19. Very nice Mike...just saw this post. Been years since Ive even had one on the line that big!
  20. Ok so I think I'm gonna go w the tatula sv...mainly because I DO like the magforce better than the new shimano braking system. (I did like the centrifugal on the older e models). Secondly because I'm gonna get a 6'10" mhf tatula rod to sit under it. Thank all of you for your input. This really seemed like a win win situation as I'm sure the curado k is awesome as well. Ill probably grab one of those up down the line too.
  21. If I had the money to spare right now I'd definitely get one of each!
  22. From what I'm seeing it seems like a win/win between the sv tatula and curado k...dang it. Lmao
  23. Just to specify...I am by no means new to bc gear or the braking functions of either reel. I have had my share of both. Shimano e7's and e50 curado...too many daiwas to name...anniversary zillions back when 7.3:1 was a drag racer...so far tho it looks like the curado is taking it.
  24. If I am going out that way around Sampson or Rowell I will just fish Santa Fe. I've always done better there. Some of the blackest bass I've ever caught too. That tannic water makes some pretty fish. Always do my best at Santa Fe at the mouths of creeks or close to where big and little Santa Fe connect.
