Computer guys, help!

I have somehow lost all sound.

All sound settings I have been able to find appear correct. Just all of a sudden gone.

OK, I know this might be the dumbest reply yet but once this happened to me and after an hour of panicing that my computer was having a major problem I suddenly found that the speaker wires were unplugged from the back of the tower, so check there as well. Right now I'm having another issue with IE not working right, keeps freezing and not responding, and this computer is only 4 months old and has AVG virus protection on it that I purchased for it.  Seems as of lately there are a lot who have visited this site and are now having computer problems.

Normally that would be the dumbest reply ever.

But not today, as that is what I checked after about 15 minutes, lol.

I did fix it, still not sure how, so thanks anyway guys.
