Car mechanics ?

Featured Replies

This is my second day off work due my van not starting. I have Chevy with a 305 engine, past couple mornings I'll try to start it, it will flood itself out and not start. Over the weekend it did this and I took the plugs dried them and clean them, it fired right up and ran fine all weekend until yesterday morning it did again. So what do you guys think the problems is, why does it keep flooding itself?

BTW  It's a Throttle Body.

Thanks guys.

how old are the plugs?  and are they gapped properly?

2 months old and yep gapped right.

Joe, check the CTS (coolant temp sensor), easily checked with an ohmnmeter. The CTS preforms the same function as a choke on a carb system.
