But this guy can flat frigging drive.  He and Knaus may be the best driver/crew chief combination in the history of NASCAR.

That said, he's starting to grow on me.  He is a handsome man... :-[

I have been a JJ fan for many years.

Also am a Carl Edwards fan.

I like most of the drivers with the exception of one or two.

So glad NASCAR is back.  :)

i agree. Chad is one bad dude on the pit box.

Not a big racing fan at all, but he definitely can turn left really well.

ive been a huge jeff gordon fan for over 10 years now and when i found out johnson was team mates with gordan i started to like him also but not as much as gordon.

I'm a Kasey Kahne fan but I think Jimmy Johnson has the oppurtunity to be the best driver is NASCAR history.

Not a racing fan...but I have noticed how much this Jimmy Johnson's name has come up for winning races.

Don't mean to highjack the thread...but don't understand all this media attention on Earnhardt Jr when I have never heard of him winning any significant race.

From 03-06, he was one of the better Cup drivers with several wins including the 2004 Daytona 500.  He owned superspeedways during the same time period.

As a young gun he came out of the gate as fast and faster than most.  What's the old adage, " He who pees the fastest don't pee the longest."

he was also following on his dad's shirt tail which gave him extra bling.  Now that dad has been gone a few years and Jr. is making his own way, he's just another car in the mix.

Jimmy Johnson I am starting to root against tired of watching him win...boring. if i turn on the race and he or busch is winning i'll find something else to watch

His green flag pit stop seconds before the yellow, and then getting out out ahead of the leader was one of the luckiest moves I've seen. I'm not saying he isn't a great driver. Great drivers put themselves in position to get lucky.

BTW Burley it is good to see you finally come out of the closet in your feelings for JJ. ;D

I'm a lifelong NASCAR fan but I'm getting tired of the JJ/CK domination.  Hopefully a new driver will come along an knock them down a few pegs ASAP.
