Rick Barnes is a top notch coach.   There have been a handfull of 20 game seasons prior to Barnes arriving in Austin.

    Rick Barnes has changed that.

    Barnes is also a very good coach.  He rebuilt the basketball program at Clemson I believe before taking over at Texas. He has been recruiting at a very high level the last few years as well.
