Paypal Question. Need serious help..

Featured Replies

So I recently just sold something, and used paypal as the payment method. I went to check to see what e-mail account I gave the guy, and it was the wrong one!!! To make matters worse, he sent the money as GIFT. Is there anyway this can be resolved, or am I basically going to be giving away a reel?

He can go in and reverse the charges and send to the correct email address. It's not a problem if he is an honest buyer/seller.

I am no expert on paypal but the word F.U.B.A.R  comes to mind

I have several times typed in a incorrect paypal account to send money. It was never a problem to reverse the charge and correct the payment information. Several times enough time elapsed the the seller notified me that they had not received the payment. So, again, it should be no problem.

Actually, I agree with Jack.  If the person is a standup person you should have no issues.  Unfortunately, in my experience most people are not.  I hope all works out for ya.  Good luck.

I do a LOT of transactions with PP, rarely a problem that isn't sorted out in a few days.

It shouldn't be a big deal as long as he reverses the transaction. If you gave him the incorrect email the transaction shouldnt have gone through. He should know this.
