College Text Books

Featured Replies

Why in the world do text books cost so much? I am going to night school to try to finish what I started nearly 20 years ago. I'm taking two classes and paying $250 for books. I guess I shouldn't complain because Uncle Sam is covering 100% of the tuition.

No, I had a guy who was supposed to sell me his used books, but that didn't work out. Now it's too late to try to order books. Classes start on Monday. Oh well.

Buddy system worked for me in college, I have always shared my book with few classmates and we just split the cost.

+1 if they have your books!

I bought my books today. I was able to find one used book. My total was $231. I talked to a coworker who is also going to school and we agreed to flip-flop classes next semester so we can just trade books.

I paid 250 for one book last semester...not fun.  There is some site on the web that you can buy sell and trade books with some deep discounts. I cant remember the name though.

I have used this site to trade books. Very good deals, and never had a problem.
