Doesn't have to be a DR machine, just looking at this model and was wondering if they are worth it? They easy to handle? I have some rough areas to get to and two of them are dicthes.

I manage a golf course and there was one here when I started.  Tried it a few times and just didn't really like it.  It is a biatch to use in swampy type areas and kind of a pain in the backside to go up and down hills.  I'll stick to my Stihls and Red Max regular weed eaters.  JMHO

you can adjust the handle to make it comfortable to use on hills

I have another brand of that kind of trimmer. It works well, especially if you have lots of trimming on fairly flat lands. does well around fence rows as well. It will trim very heavy weeds that would bog down most regular type weed wackers.

My brother has one that I have used a couple of times.  I don't remember how many HP, but it did okay as long as you didn't horse it.  Still a lot better than using a scythe. ;)

Im just tossed up on this, I do the weed whacking and its done mostly on the week ends, if there was something my wife and or 12yr old son could handle I'd get it. but a good commercial weed eater is too heavy for them and I burn up home weed eaters, got about 2 acres of fence line, around a pond and two ditches to get.

spraying poisons, been there done that
