Waterproof Snakeboots Leak !

Featured Replies

I have a pair of Rocky "Aqua Guard" waterproof snake boots that leak and was hoping someone on here knew what to do to keep them from doing this. I don't wear them that often and that probably is why they leak now. I can't find a hole or where the water comes in. I wore them one day and they were find the second day, a small amount in one and the third day, both had more than a little water in them. Really ticks me off but, I'm sure it's from not wearing them very much or often. Use it or lose it sort of thing, I guess.

Would putting Scotch-Guard on them work? I am at a loss as to how to fix or repair them. Any help would be appreciated.

I really like them but, they are no good for their intended use as they are. I know,..... I could just use them on dry land but, that's not the only way I want to use them.

This won't help in actually sealing them but for identifying the leaks, fill them with water (being careful to avoid getting the outsides wet) and see where the water leaks out.

I posted a recommendation for "Shoe Goo"  but it seems to have been lost or something. Anyway, check it out, it's a sealant for boots. It might be worth a shot.

I hate when that happens, one of the most horrible things in life is wet socks, one of the worst feelings in the world.   :D

Check out Sno-Seal

This worked very well. It took about 45 minutes to apply and I'm totally satisfied with the way they turned out. Thank you for your time, knowledge and willingness to assist others. You saved the boots and save me money. Pay it forward.

thorns used to kill my boots like crazy............

now when i poke a hole in them thats not in the tread i use a good ol fashioned tire tube patching kit and cover the hole.

so far, so good.....
