I'll be in Yellowstone for about 10 days in September. I cant wait.

Will I get rocks thrown at me if I use a spinning outfit?

I doubt it. Ive never been to yellowstone. But the only fishermen I ever saw while I lived in Laramie were the type that considered a 30 pack of natty ice and an ugly stick a complete fishing outfit.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For cougars make yourself big and loud. Same with black bears. Grizzlies play dead. There has never been an attack on a human by a wolf, unless they're rabid. I'd be more worried about freezing to death or getting killed in a lightning storm if I were you though. Good luck.

Montana is better.

Preparation is the key to survival when it comes to animal attacks. I suggest that you start running daily if you don't already do so. Don't worry so much about distance, but focus instead on wind sprints. Then, when the time comes, you should be able to easily out run your fishing partner!
