Will this PM problem ever get resolved?

Once again I just received notification that I have a message that was sent months ago. The message was dated February 22 and I was just notified today (July 13), that is, at the top of the page it said I had one new message.

I don't know what to tell you. It seems you're the only one with this issue, and it's not listed as a known bug. 

You could start with a fresh profile.  That will probably solve the problem.
