Accident on the water

Featured Replies

This is why my first boat will be one that goes no more than 55mph. Any faster than that and I'm scared....I already pee a little at that speed.

Note to self:  Make sure bilge pump is in working order when fishing in a boat with Dan:.

Just found out about a drowning on the Clinch River about 10 miles down river from my house.  21 year old out swimming is the reports so far went under and was found around 1:30 this morning.  I hate hearing it everytime, but it seems like its an every other year occurance for this smaller river.

Just got some info on what happened from my dad who spoke to a TWRA officer.  The boat hit head on with a barge.  They have cameras on the front of the barges and it caught it all.  Said it shows them off to the side of the barge and kind of eased over into the path of the barge.

Never slowed down.  Possibly watching the gps and not in front.  Only reason the officer could come up with as to why the passenger didn't do anything was maybe he was wearing dark sunglasses to keep the bugs out of his eyes.
