Heating & Air guys?

Featured Replies

need some advice on my unit.

Its a stand up vertical furnace and A/C unit. I failed on changing my filter(long story) and becuase of my stupid mistake the unit froze up on me. so I let it thaw for two days and changed my filter and made sure all my air draws was clear.

I know that I may have some problems from this but I wanna still see how it works, then if I need to call in a pro I will.

I turned the unit back on and found out i have water setting inside at the bottom of my blower fan and Im sure its from the thaw out.

The blower is at the bottom of the unit, and is there any other way of getting the water out without taking the motor off?

How much water? Too much to evaporate or does it interfere with the blower when it's running?

Many furnaces made within the last 10-15 years only require removing 2-4 bolts and the molex plug from the motor and then sliding the entire blower assembly out. If the control board is mounted to the blower assm. it may take a little more work. If you attempt to do this TURN THE POWER OFF.

Any other ? PM me. I have 15 years exp.

Thanks, its enough water to bog down the fan so it doesn't blow very hard.

I'll take up your offer when i decide to take it off
