If you go to Berkley's website, you can print off a coupon for $5 back when you buy 3 packs of Powerbait. That makes their 10 in. Powerworm fairly inexpensive......

I just picked up some 10 inch ribbon tailed worms from gander mountain, there store brand came with a hook and all for 3.99 pack i think it was. They look yummy! MY wife  and my fishing partner both think 10 inches is overkill  and that they will only grab the tail! I hope i prove them wrong!

Will putting a trailing hook on these worms cause the fish to inhale the hook ? And possibly damaging the fish ?

I have caught fish 10" long on 10" worms. They can get it all in their mouth and there is no need for a trailer hook.
