OK guys and gals, the world is coming to its senses and college football takes off this Thursday evening.

Here are some of my picks. What are yours?

Michigan over UConn

South Carolina over Southern Miss

LSU over North Carolina

Virginia Tech over Boise State

TCU over Oregon State

Mississippi State over Memphis State

Good games next week, too.

I don't see either Bama or TOSU going undefeated this year. Too many good teams in their respective conferences.

Watch out for Arkansas and LSU in the SEC Conference and Iowa and Wisconsin in the Big T-E-N Conference.

Anything goes in the ACC and out west Oregon and Washington could be surprises with Stanford giving everyone fits once again.

The Big 12 will have OU and Texas as favorites but Nebraska may make a statement this year on its way out the door.

And then there is Notre Dame with a favorable schedule and a new attitude that could throw a wrench into the BCS.

Should be another fun season of college football.  :)

I can't wait.

My favorite D-II school, Stephen F. Austin, gets the pleasure of getting it's head kicked in at Kyle Field against Texas A & M this weekend.

$300,000 appearence fee will help though.

I am pumped.  I think Boise can beat VT.  Watch out for Arkansas in the SEC...I think they have what it takes this year.  A lot of people are saying that OU can make some noise this year.  I honestly disagree with that...I think they lose at least 2, probably 3 games.

SFA is actually a D-I school, they play in the same conference (Southland)as Univ. of Central AR (where I go).

LSU fan, yes, I downloaded the media guide.

I used to get them free from a friend in the Sports Information Office but this year they put them on the LSU Sports website so I gobbled one up.

They are great reads so sit back and enjoy!

Thanks for the link, Catt. Appreciate it.  :)

Who do you think is going to beat them? I think they'll do just fine in the regular season and then lose another BCS game.

Four teams have a shot of beating OU this year:

Florida State

Texas

Texas A&M

Texas Tech

And then the OSU game pits cousin against cousin so anything could happen in that contest.  :D
