How would you fish this?

I have been fishing a clear highland lake. I have found quite a good number of fish hanging in the 21-23' depth on bluff end ledges which were about 30-50' long. I fished four ways for them and caught them using 3 of the ways.

In case I am missing something, I'd like to know how you guys would approach this situation. There were no shad deeper, shallower, or up the bluff from this ledge except for some suspended in deep water with no fish showing up around them.

This is the kind of stuff I was seeing.

I suppose those are largemouth?

If you caught them 3 different ways, sounds like you did good.

Anyway, if that came up on my graph, first thing I would throw would be a jig. I would hop it high off the bottom, looking for them to bite it on the fall. Next I would drag a t-rig or c-rig with a 10-12 in. worm. Then I would throw a LC D-20 to em'.

I'm gonna guess you caught em' on a spoon, jig, and drop shot?

My gut instinct is like CJ's.  I'd be stroking a 1/2 or 3/4oz football jig or home-made grass jig with a big skirt and rage tail lobster or craw as a trailer.  If that didn't work, I'd say throw a spoon if you could get away with it or a carolina rig with a 7inch worm.  My last resort would be either a drop shot 4inch worm or a jig 'n worm jigged vertically around the area.

I hate using them, but a deep diving crankbait or big heavy spinnerbait would also probably produce, given the activity level of the fish.  Carolina Rigging a Mann's Baby 1- is a good search tool as well, but is REALLY snaggy.

Hopkins 3/4 oz spoon with a lite wire treble hook

Jig and craw worm trailer

DD-22 Crankbait

C-Rig with at least a 4' leader.

C rig a craw, drag a football jig, jiggin spoon and dd22 in that order.
