You should always keep an open mind about fishing , try differant techniques and baits , just remember what works for you might not work for someone else and vice-versa.

thanks ive used  the end of a lizard that got chewed up on a jig head and caught a few but i bet there are TONs of better ways

Well, personally, I would not use a lizard as a trailer for a jig. A jig is a craw imitation and I think you need something that would resemble a craw when using a jig. Zoom super-chunk, Uncle Josh pork frog, double tail grub, something along those lines.........Just my .02...........but as bass-brat said, what works for one doesnt mean its for everyone else......Experiment and let us know how it works!  ;D

I've caught more bass on Wal-Mart renegade jigs than any other, never tried a lizard but have used a worm  8-)

If you can get a finesse jig you can make thAT LIZARD SOMETHING AWFULLY DEADLY. I personally prefer  brush hawgs, yum craws, zoom chunks, culprit water beettles, and all time best loooking trailer to me is the yamamoto flapin hogs( discontinued).

I've caught hundreds of bass on Wal-Mart's Renegade Jigs, they are very well made, heavy hooks, thick weed guards, & good skirts. For the price you don't have to worry about hanging one up, just break it off, tie on another and keep chunkin. The only modification you'll need to make is to trim the weed guard about 1/8 beyond the hook point.
