It all depends on what you are fishing with. For a senko I like to use a 3/0 to a 4/0 hook. They seem to work the best for me. But i have a big variety of hooks for different baits.

My general guideline is to match the hook to the bait. The hook gap should be at least double the diameter of the bait so there's enough room for the hook to get through the plastic and into the fish's jaw.
