Spring Break Sucks.....

Featured Replies

No where to go and nothing to do. What a great waste of a free week.

I know you have to have your license or at least a bike!? Grab the pole and head to a body of water. If nothing else you'll be practicing your casting, that you noted was sloppy in your tournament in another thread.  ;)

Trust me haha, thats already been covered. I've been getting real burn't out on pond hopping lately though I rather be on a lake. All the ponds around here, unless they are private, are horrible and poorly managed. Mostly I've been in the back yard practicing tho.

Yea but besides the ponds being bad I'm scared off braking all my stuff again like the last  :-[.

I think yours is late. Where are you going to be fishing in Texas?

I'm on spring break too. I am hanging out with my 10 month old daughter all day and trying to re-carpet my boat at night. All the lakes around me are still frozen. You should be happy with your pond hopping.

here my uncle lives on it and has a bass boat I'll be able to use.

I've certainly been there and know what it's like to have nothing to do on your break. I usually try to find something to keep busy but it seems like there's only so many times you can do the same old thing, even if its something enjoyable. That said, I wish I had this problem right now.

What are you guys all anti social? When i get days off school, i try not to spend all of my money hanging out with friends.

Only problem is, everyone I usually hang with is out of town in Destin or Orange Beach.

Dude, wait til you get a job and you don't even get a week off all year... enjoy it while it lasts. You'll never have more free time than you do right now. Go fish!

Yea I know, I got work everyday but only 4 hours a day so I got the rest of time to do whatever.

I will be gone the rest of the week on a river canoeing and fishing. Meanwhile I'm busy at work

Find something to do that makes you better, at least your time is then not wasted.

Find a girlfriend. If you can't find one then buy one for a few days. :o  At no time should a 17 year old kid be bored, never.

Be thankful you have nothing to do.

No..the week before spring break sucks.  For most of my friends, this is their hell week.  Yet I don't have ANYTHING.  I have loads of free time and nobody to spend it with. Lol.

But next week (spring break) is a different story.  I'll be in Colorado for a week of skiing, hiking, and breathing the fresh mountain air.

What?????

I dont think I can even comment on this.

Tell you what...I'll trade my spring break for yours.

Here's my plan for my spring break:

Cut down two trees, limb them, and chop them up into smaller pieces for removal

Repair/rebuild the handrails on my front steps

Replace the radiator in my truck

Cut the grass, trim weeds, etc. <-- This is the first cut of the season, so there's ALOT of cleaning up to do

Repair drywall in one of the upstairs bathrooms

This is all in addition to the normal crap that needs to get done around here and baseball practices/games for three boys.

I wish I could have a nice boring spring break. :(

that sounds pretty fun until you got to the radiator. i love cutting down and chopping wood.

I wish i could pond hop and not catch anything, the lake is still frozen over and not much pond hopping in michigan.

I'm on spring break as well. But working 9-5 every day.

I know that emoticon doesn't apply but i find it fascinating...

Do your friends charge you a lot or something? You must be pretty boring to be around...
