Ice fishing Saturday

Featured Replies

Well I am going to do my best to kick the cabing fever and do some ice fishing. My buddy lives on a private lake with some monster bluegills. Any tips or things I should try? I haven't really ever ice fished, we are planning on jigging with teardrops and wax worms.

probably a little late for your outing, but depending on your ice fishing rod, i get much improved sensitivity using a spring bobber, especially for finicky or light biting fish. when it's cold and my fingers aren't as sensitive, or i'm trying to stay warm with gloves, the visual of seeing that spring bobber move gives me a quicker response for setting the hook. Just my 2 cents. How did you do?
