Redfishing in Titusville

Is anyone fishing the redfish tourny this coming Sunday, the 7th, in Titusville?

No, I wish. NEW SMYRNA FOR LIFE. MY RAMP: NORTH CANAVERAL NATIONAL SEASHORE

I am thinking about it , I have been catching lots of reds near the Titusville area , actually right in Titusville past the Garden street bridge  and also Haulover Canal . The benefits for the Hunt for Reds tourney are going to a local guide to help his kids . It should be fun

Cool.  My brother fished it the last 3 years so I thought I would give it a shot.  I'm 2 hours south of there though and have no clue where to fish.

i just moved there from Vero A short while back . Thereare soem good places around the refuge area I dont have a boat so I fish where I can but a couple good areas are Eddys Creek , and Peacocks pocket . I caught one red this afternoon that was undersize . but I was fishing for mangrove snapper at a bridge and it was not an intentional catch.

Basicially what you have to do is scan the flats and look for deeper holes if you have a boat . And follow the mullet.

I would love to go I dont have a live well to use . I have a Gheenee and john boat and a kayak but no livewell. I also can get the inside scoop on where the reds are at. My girlfriend works at a Boating place and knows the guides they tell us where they are at sometimes

I dont really care for redfish a whole lot .When I was growing up they were a trashfish and we never kept them. To me they are the carp of the ocean . Sure they eat topwater but they are mostly bottom feeders. But I guess they area good sportfish and sure are popular now

I think they are junk fish too but fun to catch..!st place gets you a 25k Hewes redfish flatsboat though.

We are supposed to have high winds and rain this weekend it will make for tough fishing . I wish you luck and look on a map for the catfish creek area it should be holding some reds
