Anyone here been catching any bowfin? I have caught 2 the past couple of days on plastic lizards and thats all I could catch. I was hoping itd be a bass, but the only good thing is that I now know I can catch something with a lizard.

     The only time I've caught one was back when I was a young boy cane pole fishing for Bream with my Father. They put up quite a battle and on a skinny piece of bamboo you thought Moby Dick just did a belly-flop next to the boat. I found a website where folks were trying to catch them. I've never known anyone catching one except when they were fishing for something else...

    All the friggin time....they have feeding behavior's very much like the bass, I HATE them tho, tear up a bait like nothing else.

    My expreience has been when you are catching bowfin (dogfish), nothing else will be in the area.
