I got the rod and reel to use and when i was a kid, there was a catalog:Netcraft ( not Janns) that had Clear Floats and white, black and green foam spiders, Where can I find these things nowdays

Nothing but fun when going ultra light tackle fishing those...talk about a load of fun. ;D

No thanks, sorry iIdidnt explain it right.

The kits came with a hard clear palstic little float, the were solid, through and through . you didnt put water in them. The kit came with 4 floats and two each of these particular spiders.

oh ok. that sounds like something that Betts might make. have you searched there products?

Yea I am going to visit Brooklyn next week and I am going to stop in RAMSEY SPORTING GOODS, they have pretty much the whole Betts Line. Its been a long time since I targeted Gillies. I belive they used to come on a crad( The Spiders) the were named something like Stopper Baits?, The flosts were , one inch, clear Hard palstic with a screw eye in each side. '

Thanks For the Help

Try the ANTIQUE store?

Try the ANTIQUE store?

It's not quite on the subject, but your post got me to thinking about things I used when I was really young fishing with my parents. At every bait shop you could buy these porcupine quills that had been made into a float. They were great! Haven't seen one in years :(...

                                As Ever,

                                 skillet

Try pickin your own Skillet

Check your shorts when you change them next month.  :o

Oh,,,,,,and here's my #1 BG Killa

the 1" or 1.5" on a true UL outfit are much fun, and the gillies cannot resist.

I use the brown and brook trout finishes (yes, I know there are no trout in Florida, but the gills don't know that)

Let it sink a foot then twitch it back to you....It won't get far...

a bonus is that the little bassies and crappie will pounce on em as well.
