What kind of fish do you usually fish for in this freezing weather

It depends on the lake and area in which you live. The popular fish in this cold weather are pike, lake trout, trout, bass, perch, bluegills, pickerel, and musky. You can catch basically everything you can in the summer months.

I stick with trout because its the only fish i can seem to catch in the winter.

Largemouth and striped bass, and channel and flathead cats are pretty much a year round oppertunity here in the Phoenix area. By the way, it's 74 degrees here today.   8-)   Happy fishing.
