What do you do with a bonita? Isn't there anything worthwhile that can

be caught from shore?

On the shore here in Boca there are thousands of small mullet that swim through, literally 5 feet from the shore in what we call "the trough". Big snook, tarpon, and sharks feed on these, and it is a sight to behold. Many people throw yo-zuri mag minnows, spoons and other lures in hopes to catch a tarpon or snook.

The bite on the beach can be amazing. there are also small cudas, jacks, pompano, and other less common species. There does not have to be a huge school of bait around to see big snook either. I was at the beach yesterday and saw three big ones swim by together; I was not fishing at the time.

Snook at the beach?  Wow very early this year, water temp is cool 72 degrees.  Very encouraging report.
