That's the good thing about Big-O and his baits.  He gets something in his mind and plays with it and tweaks it until its right.  And when its right, its game on.  

The entire new line up from Rage Tail are high action baits that will get attention from bass, aggressive or not.  Even on a keel weighted hook, the anacondas and other flipping baits have action on the fall.  It is so slow and so wild that its unresistable.  Try a craw on a keel weighted hook and flip it to shallow to mid depth cover.  If there is a fish there and you put it in the right spot, they will hit it.  This rig never lets me down.  In fact, it has almost completely replaced senkos and light jigs in my box.  

Scrumptious looking baits, how many to a package and what stores carry them?? Cabelas? Wal-mart?, Sportsmans warehouse?  My options are limited up here.

Forgot to mention BassMaster_17, I believe that all of the stores you mentioned will have them plus Bass Pro, Academy, Dicks, Tackle Warehouse etc. If I get good info on who has them at the earliest date, I will let everyone know, via a post or whatever.

Big-O was it your Anaconda worm that KVD used at the Bluegrass Brawl on Kentucky Lake last month? In the August 2008 issue of Bass Times, in the article "VanDam runs the table" it states "He also relied on Strike King's 3/4-ounce football jig ... and a new 10 inch Anaconda worm (green pumpkin) that he worked down the ledges."

Yep and he was using my hand made prototypes...All were the 10" models. He also used them at Wheeler where he placed 2nd and his story was in Bass Times Magazine on that one.  I have several worm designs and Kevin was one of the big influences for choosing this particular one to debut first.

Since he and some of the other guys wanted this one first, what do I say ....."here you go". And the rest my friend is FUTURE.

My local Gander had the Rage Tail Shad... I picked up a few packs of em, haven't got to throw em too much yet but they do have some very nice action and look like they'll catch lots of fish!

They are great for anywhere that you would normally fish a buzzbait...and in places that you wouldn't dare fish one.  I use them pretty much exclusively for buzzbait style fishing now.

One of the big things to experiment with is the angle of your rod on the retrieve.  Different angles will give you more or less action.  Sometimes holding your rod tip down is the key.  I have a bad habit about not trying all available options with them sometimes, so I say this a lot to help me remember lol.  

It's gonna be tough trying to use them instead of the good ol' Cavitron (can't stress how much I love this thing)... But I will definitely give em a shot.

I still use the cavitron buzzbaits but the ragetail products seem to catch more bass.  Plus I can throw them in areas that I can't throw the cavitron.

Those plastics look SICK, i want to get some of those.

My advice, until then, is to get the first line of rage tail baits.  Yeah the new ones are cool, but the 'old ones' work great.  The craws are my #1 producer this year.

The demand is obviously high and the worms are something special that the fish just haven't seen. You will get what I call a "what the hell was that??" strike from the fish

BTW, Mike Ward won the FLW Stren series last week at Kentucky Lake on the 10" Anaconda, jig and Rage Craw trailer and dd22 crank. I think I like his bait selections.... ;D  

Looks like he followed in right behind KVD's win with very similar lure choices.

BTW, the Space monkey, Lizard and Lobster on the video footage is all done with a 1/4 oz weight Tx rigged. This was by design to show the minimal weight necessary to achieve such action.

The first 2 clips of Anaconda were with 6/0- 3/16 oz keel weighted hook to show swimming action as well as rip and fall sequence. The last clip is 1/4 oz Tx rigged and swimming toward you. Wasn't enough time to showcase the rise and fall action of the Tx rigged Anaconda but believe me, it is awesome action as well, with any weight chosen.

Two sizes on the Anaconda, 10" and 7 1/2 ".

Dude I can't wait to put the Anaconda in the face of some of those Texas Redneck Bubba Bass but I must admit that lizard is what I was really impressed with. Many anglers only throw lizards during the spring but I'll throw those dudes year round.
